Within the framework of the project “We Take Care of Animals, You?!”, implemented by the “VetEUcare” student club of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at European University, an essay competition was held for senior school students. Approximately 30 applicants took part in the competition.

On the day of the essay competition, the participants were instructed to select one of the following three topics: Animal kingdom seen through my eyes; Do I love animals or am I obliged to take care of them?; What do I do for the welfare of animals?

The essays written by the students were evaluated by a special commission. As a result of the competition, three winners were announced: 1st place – Mariam Sturua (Public School N130), 2nd place – Elene Narimanidze (Public School N14) and 3rd place – Nia Chkhitunidze (Public School N140).

Maia Kereselidze, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Nino Milashvili, Head of the Veterinary Program, awarded the authors of the winning essays with respective prizes. Certificates of participation were given to all the contestants.

It should be noted that the “VetEUcare” student club of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine aims to popularize the field of veterinary medicine among young people and to achieve this goal, carries out various activities.
